The "How to Book or Cancel a Service" service guides you through managing healthcare appointments at your local health authority (ASL). This service allows you to book visits, diagnostic tests, vaccinations, and other healthcare services, as well as change or cancel existing appointments. It is designed for all citizens who want to organize their care simply, quickly, and securely, with clear information on the available options, from online contact centers to in-person bookings.
Come fare
To book an appointment or service, you must have:
- Referral (requested on the regional prescription pad or reminder) signed by the doctor;
- Health card;
- Tax code.
Attention: the prescription cannot include:
- more than 8 services;
- exempt and non-exempt services at the same time;
- services of different specialties.
Additionally, your tax code must also be included on the prescription.
Prescription validity:
- For priority B prescriptions, the validity is 20 days for prescriptions issued on or after January 1, 2026 (Regional Decree No. 173 of November 24, 2025);
- For other priorities and for checks, the validity is 180 days (Ministerial Decree No. 272 of November 26, 2024).
