Reservation required at a blood collection center
The Laboratory Medicine Service of the ASST of Valtellina and Alto Lario operates in the laboratories of Sondalo, Sondrio, Morbegno, and Chiavenna and at the local blood collection points, performing routine and urgent clinical biochemistry, hematology, coagulation, serology, microbiology, and electrophoresis tests.
The service is available to internal users (patients and departments such as Dialysis, the Transfusion Center, and the Emergency Room) and external users with a medical referral. Local coverage is also provided by the blood collection centers in Aprica, Berbenno, Chiuro, Chiesa in Valmalenco, Tirano, Grosio, Tresenda, Bormio, and Livigno, as well as the Home Care Service.
To ensure continuity and timeliness:
In Sondrio and Sondalo, technical staff are available 24 hours a day, with graduates available at night;
In Chiavenna and Morbegno, graduates are available for nighttime emergencies.
