The request for access to the "Dialysis on Holiday" service can only be submitted online.
Before completing the application, you must download and complete the dialysis form available in the "Forms" section.
The form must be completed by the applicant's Dialysis Center, providing all the requested information in full. The form must be completed in its entirety: incomplete forms or forms other than those available on the website may result in the request being denied.
When bookings open, you will be able to complete the application online, indicating your preferred treatment location among the Dialysis Centers in the company's area, for example:
During the procedure you will be asked to attach:
For some local offices or decentralized facilities, access to treatment may be subject to specific prior authorization. In such cases, any additional forms required are available in the "Forms" section.
To access the service, you must complete and submit the online application, attaching all required documentation. Upon submission, you will receive a confirmation email.
Requests are processed in chronological order of arrival and evaluated based on the availability of Dialysis Centers in the Venice area and the Veneto coast. The submitted documentation will be reviewed by the designated Dialysis Center and submitted to the designated Nephrologist for approval and treatment planning.
For users registered with the National Health Service, presentation of their health card is required upon initial access.
To ensure a balanced distribution of availability and allow access to the largest possible number of patients, treatment may be authorized for a limited period during peak periods, generally no longer than two weeks.
The service is covered by the National Health Service (NHS) for residents of Italy. In other cases, the financial compensation may vary depending on the treatment requested (hemodialysis or hemodiafiltration) and the agreements between Italy and the applicant's country of origin.
During the summer season and the increased tourist numbers in the Venice area and the Veneto coastline, the ULSS 3 Serenissima Health Authority (ULSS 3 Serenissima) offers the "Dialysis on Holiday" service, dedicated to dialysis patients who need to continue their treatment during their temporary stay.
The service allows you to request dialysis treatments at Dialysis Centers within the company's territory, subject to the facilities' organizational and healthcare availability. Requests are managed centrally through a dedicated online procedure available in this section; during the application process, users can indicate their preferred location:
Acceptance of non-resident patients is generally limited to temporary periods and is subject to several factors, including space availability, the clinical needs of the patients in care, any specific health conditions, and the internal organization of services. For this reason, it is not always possible to guarantee confirmation of the stay or maintenance of the usual dialysis shift well in advance.
The treatment schedule will be agreed upon directly between the selected Dialysis Center and the applicant, once the application has been approved. Therefore, we encourage you to submit your request well in advance, especially during peak periods, to facilitate timely and efficient admission.

Dialysis Shifts
Dialysis shifts will be organized by the Dialysis Centers and may be modified based on availability and organizational needs. Collaboration with the Dialysis Center of origin is essential, as it will coordinate shifts both upon the patient's departure and return to avoid excessive intervals between treatments.
Transportation Service
Any transportation needs are the responsibility of the patient and must be arranged independently.
Medications
Hospital pharmacies at the Centers may not be able to supply certain medications not listed in the ULSS therapeutic formulary. Regarding erythropoietins, only Binocrit is currently available. If the patient uses other erythropoietins, it is recommended to bring the necessary amount from their referral center to ensure continuity of treatment.
Allergies
Any allergies to medications or medical devices (e.g., dialysis filters) must be reported on the dialysis form at the time of registration.
